Gannon University is doing its part to keep students, faculty and staff healthy by holding a wellness fair today.

Nearly 400 people were expected to attend today's 9th annual wellness fair.
It's being held at Gannon's Waldron Campus Center.

A multitude of wellness options are free for members of the Gannon family.
St. Vincent Hospital, UPMC Hamot, and about a dozen local companies had representatives on hand.

They are set up in the ballroom to do screenings for blood pressure, BMI checks, cardiovascular health, spine checks, and even a machine to check participants for skin damage.

People can also seek information about alternative medicine.
Cooking demos are new to the health fair this year. Chefs are showing people how to prepare meals in a healthier way.

Gannon's goal is to provide resources people need to take charge of their health.
